Real OneClub man makes moving decision to leave Europe

Nacho Fernandez is considering a move to a continent other than Europe to avoid having Real Madrid as his nemesis.

Multiple media outlets, including Spain's Relevo, are reporting simultaneously on Sept. 19 (ET) that Nacho will leave Real at the end of the 2023-2024 season. "Nacho's time at Real is coming to an end. After 23 years of playing in a Real shirt, Nacho will play only for Real and leave home," Relevo reported.

Born in 1990, Nacho has only one line on his resume. He grew up at Real from a young age and broke into the first team without the usual loan spells, playing exclusively for the club. He broke into the Real first team ahead of the 2012-2013 season.

In fact, Nacho hasn't been a key player for Real for even one season. He was a starter from 2016 to 2018, but for most of the season, he was a rotation player. Real is one of the best clubs in the world where you can't survive if you're not a starter. Even though Nacho was good enough to play for other clubs, he stayed loyal to Real.

In his more than 10 years with the club, Nacho has been part of all of Real"s glory years, starting in the 2010s. He won the European Champions League (UCL) five times. He also won the Spanish La Liga title three times. He won everything that a professional player can win at Real.

He has a very professional attitude. From the 2021-2022 season, he was included in the Real captain"s squad. In the 2022-2023 season, he became vice-captain of the team, and since Karim Benzema left, he"s been the team"s captain and has been responsible for Real"s success.

Nacho decided to leave Real for a new life. He"s still only 1990 years old, so he could have played the rest of his career in another league in Europe, but Nacho doesn"t want to be an enemy of Real.

'All scenarios are open to Nacho, but he's aiming to adventure in the United States or Saudi Arabia rather than compete at a high level in Europe. Above all, Nacho is finding it very difficult to accept the fact that he could face Real, the club of his life. Nacho plans to never move to a Spanish club.

In the past, Andrea Iniesta also decided to end his career at Barcelona and moved to Japanese club Vitsel Kobe. This was because he didn"t want to face Barcelona as an enemy. Nacho has a similar idea. Nacho doesn"t want to make enemies with Real because he"ll return to the club at some point.
