Lee Jung-hoo has hit safely in six straight games

Major League Baseball (MLB) player Lee Jung-hoo (26-San Francisco Giants) extended his hitting streak to six games. He is now batting .242 (15-for-62) on the season. Kim Ha-seong (29, San Diego Padres) drew four walks.

Lee started at first base and center field against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, on April 15 and went 1-for-5 with one run scored and one stolen base. It was his sixth straight game with a hit, dating back to Aug. 8 against the Padres at Anbang.

Lee led off the first inning with a single to right field on a 150-mph fastball from Rays right-hander Shawn Armstrong (34). In the next at-bat, Lee stole second base for his second stolen base of the season. He then stole third and crossed home plate when Ramonte Wade Jr. (30) singled to left. It was his seventh run scored of the season and his third straight game with a run scored.

He didn't get another hit in the next at-bat, but he made a diving catch of a line drive to right-center field in the seventh inning and a quick snag of a ball over his left shoulder in the eighth. But the Giants fell 4-9 to the Rays, who hit four home runs on the day. The Giants remained in fourth place in the National League West (6-10, .375).

Kim went 1-for-4 with a walk and four strikeouts while batting sixth and playing shortstop in the final game of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The four strikeouts were the most in a single game since his big league debut. Kim is batting .215 (14-for-65) on the season. With the 6-3 win, the Padres remained in second place in the National League West (9-9, .500).
